Preparing for the off...

The movers come tomorrow to pack up 5 years of Boston life into boxes. I wonder if after years in the job they have developed the ability to judge my character based on my books, CD collection, choice of china and number of handbags. If so, I hope they keep their diagnosis to themselves...

The past few days have been tough; a seemingly never-ending stream of goodbyes - some sad, some hopeful, some deeply frustrating. I'm exhausted with it all to be honest. I partly wish I was gone already, moving forward instead of marking time and psyching myself out. However I do have 3 wonderful points of strength:
1. The love and support from my fabulous and adored friends here in Boston who will stay in my life forever;
2. The 5-month adventure that starts on Saturday (I mean, seriously, it's pretty effing amazing isn't it?!);
3. My family and old skool top mates back in the UK who always knew I wouldn't be able to resist the siren call of drizzle, cheap flights to Europe, Eastenders and a working knowledge of irony.

Not sure when the next time you hear from me will be, but I do know that it will be when my life has changed dramatically. x
